“Amish Sugar Cookies”  (very delicate)

 

1 C. butter, softened

1 C. oil

1 C. powdered sugar

1 C. sugar

2 eggs

5 C. flour

1 t. salt

1 t. baking soda

1 t. cream of tartar

1 t. vanilla

 

Mix dry ingredients together.  Then mix wet ingredients together.  Combine the wet & dry.  Cool dough.    

 

Make into balls and flatten with bottom of floured glass.  Sprinkle with sugar.  Bake @350 deg. for 10 minutes, watching carefully not to let them brown.
