SPANISH HAMBURGER’S

 

3 lb. ground chuck or turkey

2 T. yellow mustard

1 large  onion, chopped

1 – 24 oz. bottle of ketchup

2 T. chili powder

Salt to taste

 

Cook meat and drain well.    Add to remaining ingredients.

 

Using the ketchup bottle, add 2 full bottles of water to mixture.   Simmer until thick.

 

 

 

 

 

 

LUSH MUSH FRUIT SALAD

 

8 oz. cream cheese

3 T. salad dressing (like miracle whip)

3 T. pineapple juice

3 T. maraschino cherry juice

 

Add:

1 can crushed pineapple, drained

½ bag mini marshmallows

1 jar maraschino cherries, drained

 

When all ingredients are combined, add 8 oz. container of cool whip.

 

NOTE:   It is important to make sure the pineapple and cherries are drained very well.

 

 

 

 

 

 

BROWNIES

 

1 C. sugar

1 C. brown sugar

4 eggs

½ t. baking powder

3 squares of baking cocoa

2/3 C. butter, softened to room temperature

1 C. flour

½ t. salt

1 t. vanilla

1 C. chopped walnuts or pecans

 

Spray a 9 x 13 inch pan.

 

Combine all ingredients.  Pour into pan and bake @375 degrees for 25 minutes or until tester is clean.

 

 

 

 

 

 

FAVORITE CARMEL ROLLS

 

1 pkg. butterscotch pudding (must be the cooking type –NOT INSTANT)

24 frozen dinner rolls

6 T. butter

½ C. brown sugar

¾ t. cinnamon

½ C. chopped walnuts or pecans

 

The night before, grease a 9 x 13 pan with spray.    Sprinkle nuts and dry pudding in pan.   Add frozen dinner rolls.

 

Melt butter.    Add brown sugar and cinnamon.  Pour over rolls.

 

Cover with a dish towel and let stand overnight.   In the morning, preheat oven to 350 degrees and bake for 30 minutes.    After they have cooled a bit, quickly turn them onto a piece of foil.
