SIMPLE COOKIES

 

1 Box cake mix (any kind)

1 stick of butter, softened

1 egg

Vanilla extract

 

Bake @350 on ungreased cookie sheet.   Watch closely………….you do not want to overbake.    At least 8 to 10 minutes.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

GOOEY BUTTER COOKIES

 

8 oz. cream cheese

½  C. butter, softened

1 egg

¼ t. vanilla

1 – 18.5 oz. pkg. yellow cake mix

¼ C. powdered sugar

 

Preheat oven @350.

 

Mix all ingredients except powdered sugar.

 

Roll into 1” balls and then roll into powdered sugar.  Place 1 inch apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. 
Bake 10 to 13 minutes……..watching to makie sure they do not get too brown.   Remove to rack to cool.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

RUSSIAN TEA  (for colds & coughs)

 

1 ¼  C. sugar

¾ C. instant black tea

1 t. cinnamon

1 C. tang

1 t. clove

1 packet of lemonade mix

 

Add 3 to 4  tsp. of mix to 8 oz. hot water.

 

Drink 4 to 6 cups daily

 

 

 

 

 

 

WHIPPING CREAM POUND CAKE

1 C. butter

3 C. white sugar

6 eggs

3 C. cake flour

1 C. whipping cream

2 t. vanilla

1 t. almond

 

Preheat oven @325.   Grease 10” tube pan with butter spray.

 

Cream butter and sugar and eggs.

 

Add remaining ingredients.

 

Bake for approx. 1 hour and 10 minutes.

 

Let  cake rest a few minutes.   Turn onto plate.     Sprinkle with powered sugar when cool.
